General info
After completing this course, you will be able to develop, manage, and evaluate physical-sports and leisure animation projects for a wide range of users
You will be able to programme and manage teaching, socio-sport inclusion and leisure activities. Coordinating the professionals involved, guaranteeing safety measures, respecting the environment and achieving user satisfaction, all within the foreseen cost limits.


Objectives and recommended profile
If you are 17 or 18 yo, you have completed your GCEs or a Vocational Education and Training (VET). If you are a sports freak, you have tried more than one sport when you were younger, you enjoy watching diverse sports competitions and you have worked a few hours as an instructor. Then, this is your opportunity.
Syllabus
Individual physical-sports activities
Technical and tactical fundamentals of swimming, athletics and lifeguarding.
Team physical-sports activities
Dynamization of games, cultural activities, evenings and shows.
Physical and recreational games and activities
Technical and tactical fundamentals of football, basketball, handball, rugby, volleyball and world sports.
Methodology of sports education
Planning and programming of physical activity and sport, session construction and evaluation systems.
English for technical purposes
Sport grammar and vocabulary.
Physical fitness evaluation and intervention in case of accidents
Physiology, anatomy, injury prevention, nutrition and assistance in the case of accidents.
Training and career guidance
Job placement, recruitment and job search techniques.
Leisure activities
In sports facilities, the outdoors and urban environments.
Group dynamisation
Dynamisation, communication and conflict management techniques.
Physical-sports activities for social inclusion
Activities for the elderly, people with disabilities and communities at risk of exclusion.
Sports and Leisure planning
Project planning, design, management and evaluation.
Project: Sports education and animation
Organisation and implementation of a sports event.
Entrepreneurship and business management
Sport management, business management and creation of business plan.

Study Methods
Blended learning
The system offers time flexibility and the courses are taught via Google Meet. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend some classes in case you want to reinforce concepts or get to know your classmates. These sessions are practical and take place on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
The exams are on-site and will take place at the Vitae Cerdanyola School. You can choose between two assessment types:
- Continuous Assessment (CA): Assignments or attendance + exams.
- Final Assessment (FA): Final exam.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for a direct entry, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
- You have a GCE diploma.
- You have a VET, HNC or equivalent.
- You have a Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Outdoor Sports and Leisure Guide.
- You have completed any VET degree (to be consulted with the Teaching Department in each particular case).
- You have successfully passed the entrance exam to Certificate of Higher Education (HNC).
