General Frequently Asked Questions

Can a CAFEMN Intermediate Level student access the Higher Level of EAS and/or Physical Conditioning, without taking an entrance exam?

Yes.

Can I enroll in the Superior Degree of EAS and/or Physical Conditioning if I am 16 years old?

Yes.

Can I access if I come from Special Regime Education, as a Soccer Technician?

No. You have to take the entrance exam. The regulations only allow direct access to vocational training studies; special education is not understood as such.

If I come from an intermediate level of another professional family, can I access the EAS?

Yes.

How are grants administered?

The school will notify you when official organizations publish scholarships and provide you with all the necessary documentation. However, the processing can only be done personally by the student. The awarding of scholarships depends on many parameters decided by the State on an annual basis.

In which Vitae centers can I study and what are the prices of the courses?

There are currently four schools in Catalonia, one in Navarra and distance studies. Our goal is to offer training as a sports technician to more people, which is why we are working to establish new locations in Granollers, Bilbao, Logroño, and Zaragoza.

Is class attendance mandatory?

In the classroom format, you must attend at least 80% of the sessions to be eligible for the regular exam. If you exceed this percentage of absences, you will have to go to the extraordinary exam (which allows a maximum grade of 5 in the final grade).

In the blended (online) format, the class and evaluation model is designed especially for those who cannot attend classes in person. It is an official qualification recognized by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, with the same validity as the face-to-face modality.

How do course validations work?

As a general rule, no degree from a lower level of study validates a degree from a higher level of study. For example, a Soccer Sports Technician or an Intermediate Level Technician in CAFEMN could not request the validation of subjects of the Higher Technician in Animation of Physical Sports Activities.

Yes, it is possible from equal to equal (higher to higher grade) or from a higher to a lower grade. For example, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sport or a Higher Technician of EAS could apply for validation of the standard blocks for any sports technician.

In any case, the student can apply for validation by submitting a request and attaching the relevant, duly certified documentation. Vitae, following the regulations described above, will decide whether or not validation is possible.

I am an elite athlete, do you take this into consideration?

Yes, but always respecting the minimum class attendance of 65%. If you pass the 35% you have the option to take the exam in the extraordinary exam (with a maximum grade of 5). If attendance is not compatible with travel and competitions, you also have the possibility of studying in a blended format.

I have to leave class a little early, will it affect my grade?

If an evaluative exercise is performed at the end of the session and you are not present, you will not be able to make it up. If you leave with 30 minutes left in the session, the school considers it as 1 full absence. If it is a one-off case, you should speak directly with the teacher involved and your tutor.

What happens if I get injured and can't do the internship?

As the vast majority of Vitae students are athletes, this is a common occurrence. It is for this reason that the school is prepared, and we make available to the injured student the option of an alternative evaluation, allowing you to achieve the same academic grade as your classmates.

Can I work abroad with these degrees?

Yes. The degrees taught at the school are determined by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya, which in turn is governed by the Spanish Ministry of Education. At the European level, everything is regulated (free movement of workers in the European Economic Community zone). There are many examples of our graduates working abroad; in fact, training in our country has a point of prestige thanks to the successes of our elite athletes.

Is it possible to do an internship abroad?

Yes, and from Vitae we help you to obtain and process them. Internally, we manage it through the FP Barcelona Foundation, and we are working on establishing a new department of Internationalization at the Vitae School to offer more services related to this topic.

Can I propose an entity where to do an internship?

Yes. We are always open to establishing internship agreements with new entities. Students must request it through their internship teacher, who will then contact the requested entity to arrange an interview. If the entity in question has an internship program and a good predisposition, there is no inconvenience on the part of the school.

Do you have to be very fit to train as a Sports Technician?

In order to study any sport study it is essential that you practice and enjoy sports in your daily life. Sometimes, we can chain two or three practical classes, so we recommend taking care of yourself and being in good shape to make the most of and enjoy the sessions.

How are leaves of absence managed?

The following protocol must be followed:

  1. Hold a meeting with the tutor and management to explain the causes.
  2. Notify in writing to the center’s secretary’s office.
  3. The Secretary’s Office processes the cancellation on a case-by-case basis, depending on the payment system chosen.

No. The law of sport professions obliges to obtain at least the Technical Cycle in Rescue and Lifesaving.
